Jazz in 2013 with the Mo-Chi cats

Hi Friends, It's a great time to be alive!!! Spring is in the air, lot's of jazz happening in the month of February!!! How can it get any better! Well, let me tell you.......There are two new venues for Jazz in the South Bay that have opened, The Woodshed and Zone 8/Casino M8trix. I'm happy to say that the Mo-Chi Quartet/Sextet is starting February off with some exciting concert/performances coming up including performances at both venues. On February 16th at 7:30pm, the Mo-Chi Sextet be presenting "Miles of Blue: a re-creation of the legendary recording "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis". Joining Murray, Ken and I are two wonderfully burning saxophonists Tod Dickow and Kristen Strom along with drummer Wally Schnalle. This performance is being held at The Woodshed located at Keith Holland Studio in Los Gatos. The Woodshed is a new venue for music run by our good friends Bev Barnett and Greg Newlon. On February 22nd at 8pm the Mo-Chi Quartet will be playing for your listening and dining pleasure at the Bon Vivant Cafe. Join us for an evening of fine French cuisine, wine and song. Dinner reservations are recommended and if you just want to stop by for an appetizer and your favorite beverage that's fine too! On February 23rd at 8pm, the Mo-Chi Quartet will be performing at the Zone 8 Sports Bar and Grill in the new Casino M8trix in San Jose. This also is a new home for Jazz in the South Bay so please stop by and show them your support. By the way, I just happened to look at the wine list when meeting the management and I'm very impressed!
