more 2012 gigs and a new music series called Sirens of the Pacific....

Hi Friends, May is here and I have some great concerts/gigs coming up. Saturday, May 12 I'll be playing with my good friend, guitarist Sebastien Lanson at Studio Pink House in Saratoga, CA. We'll be joined by drummer Akira Tana and bassist Dan Robbins. The start time is 8pm and we'll be playing a mix of originals and jazz standards. Studio Pink House 14577 Big Basin Way (2nd floor - stairs on Sent Sovi's side) Saratoga, CA. On Sunday, May 20th I'll be presenting the first concert of my new series Sirens of the Pacific. The first concert is called: TORCH...a tribute to Etta James and Women of Soul featuring vocalist Wendy Waller, John Worley and the Mo-Chi Quartet We'll also be joined by our special guest, guitarist Sebastien Lanson from Paris, France. The Mo-Chi quartet is pianist Murray Low, bassist Ken Okada and drummer Kevin Higuchi. The concert will be held at the Dana Street Roasting Company. Start time is 7:30pm and tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students under 15yrs old. Wendy Waller is one of the most talented, dynamic singers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She has the the ability to transport you to another world with her powerful and sultry voice. Last year at my birthday jam at the Hedley Club in San Jose, she sang a unbelieveable rendition of Stormy Weather and that folks, was one of the best birthday presents I've ever had... You don't want to miss this concert with all the great musicians that will be playing for you on stage. Tickets can be purchased by going to: http://danastreetroasting.com/shows/ Space is limited so please order your tickets soon before they run out....
